For nearly seven years, Fifty Plus Fitness has seen explosive growth, and with more exciting developments on the horizon in 2013 we are launching the same business under our new company name: Lori Michiel Fitness. Our goal for the future, as it is today, is to have each of our clients become stronger, more mobile and confident, and more functional while easily managing tasks of daily living so they can live a long, independent, and full lifestyle.

“FPF started in my home with one client,” said founder of Fifty Plus Fitness, Lori Michiel. “Once I got my initial certification – I have since completed three fitness certifications – the business began to grow. I started my career by instructing groups of older adults and seniors in various settings. I promised myself I would teach each group as if it they were all private clients; with care and attention.”

With the creation of Lori Michiel Fitness, the ambitious Lori Michiel is beginning a new chapter in her already impressive story—one that intertwines fitness instruction with clients over 50 years of age with her successes from owning a personal training business.

While the business model will still include high energy and inspirational workouts, Lori Michiel Fitness will feature a new and improved range of services. Lori explains:

  • In 2013, we will offer specific fitness instruction for caregiver training, post-rehabilitation, and Parkinson’s disease. As Medicare cuts back we hope to fill the needs of clients who are left without the fitness care they need.
  • We will also feature easier website navigation with valuable tools and resources, and new fitness trainers equipped with a tool box of improved fitness training resources.
  • Since 2009 our personal fitness trainer family has been growing, and in 2013 with nine trainers, we will be serving the needs of the greater Los Angeles area, including the South Bay, San Gabriel Valley, and Ventura County.

Lori is particularly proud of her team, and their dedication to a sector of the population that is sometimes forgotten. Her trustworthy trainers will continue to help leverage your natural abilities while building your physical and mental strength in 2013.

Remember: you can’t change what you can’t measure!
