Sara, a California native, is a health and wellness expert with over 18 years of experience in the fitness industry. At a young age, this avid dancer sustained a serious sports injury and saw firsthand the team of experts it took to help rehabilitate her. Since then, Sara has dedicated her career to helping others make wellness a lifestyle.
Sara attended UCLA where she graduated with a degree in psychology and would later become a doctoral candidate to advance her studies in physical therapy. Sara also holds multiple certifications from coveted programs such as the U.S. Olympic Committee and The National Academy of Sports Medicine, where she earned her certifications in Personal Training and in being a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES).
During her time pursuing her doctoral degree, Sara participated in observation hours at Brentwood Chiropractic, Huntington Memorial Hospital and Cedars-Sinai Hospital. It was there that she assisted physical therapists in the art of both physical and cognitive rehabilitation through a myriad of therapeutic treatments and various modalities. The population she assisted included patients with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, lupus, fibromyalgia, dementia and stroke recovery patients. Her work ethic and immense discipline shined through in these clinical settings.
Through her years of experience, Sara has served a wide range of clients of all ages. She is especially passionate about helping seniors. “I think it comes from my culture where elders are revered and respected and everyone is like family. I train my parents every day. If I can somehow enhance and elevate the quality of life for the generations that came before me, it is my thank you to them and it fills my heart with joy.”
