Purple Tree Yoga
Georgina Purple comes from a background of sports and martial arts. Due to an injury in martial arts, she had to find another passion. In 1998 she started taking yoga. By 2001 she was so passionate about it, she took her first teacher training, and has been teaching since 2002.
Georgina is an E-RYT 500, completing a 500-hour yoga teacher training through Yoga Alliance and is a Certified Thai Yoga Therapist. Her business is Purple Tree Yoga.
Her qualifications include over 1000 hours of training as a yoga teacher in biomechanics, therapeutics, anatomy, restorative yoga, and much more.
In 2008, she was certified in Thai Yoga Therapy, which is also called ‘The art of healing with the hands’. This therapy allows her to connect on both a physical and energetic level to sense how the client feels.
In 2013 she spent a year at Loyola Marymount University, in their Yoga Therapy Rx program. This program taught her how to work with medical conditions through yoga.
Her main focus is in therapeutics and helping people realign and reconnect to their bodies. This alignment leads to freedom from pain and increased happiness. She strives to leave her clients with a better understanding of their body.
