Barbara has devoted her long and rich career in geriatric care to helping people age with grace, dignity and the best possible professional care. Known for her work in dementia, Barbara is considered a pioneer in the field, providing expert support and caregiving services to older adults and their families in the Los Angeles area and beyond for more than 30 years.
For the past decade, Barbara has led caregiver support groups for Alzheimer’s LA and UCLA’s Easton Center for Alzheimer’s Disease Research, including one for caregivers of persons with Lewy Body Dementia. She also serves on the advisory board of OPICA Adult Day Care Services, Los Angeles’s first Adult Day Program and Counseling Center serving people with dementia and their families.
