He began directing his attention and focus toward the disciplines of health and performance. He studied Exercise Physiology at the University of Colorado and earned multiple certifications from nationally and globally accredited organizations. Alec’s education specialized in Pre- and Post-rehab, NeuroMuscular Training, Cognitive Fitness at Harvard Medical School, PTSD, Brain Trauma and Spinal Cord Injuries.
Since 2010 Alec has focused on clients with arthritis, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, musculoskeletal dysfunction, diabetes, multiple sclerosis and Guillain Barre Syndrome. Alec started his career in the health and performance as a Personal Trainer with youth sport athletes. Alec is a Coach for the Special Olympics and has been working with athletes with intellectual disabilities since 2015.
Alec’s recent achievements include creating a program called the “Active 60” to increase awareness of fitness for people over the age of 60 to get their 60 minutes of movement in daily. Alec has assisted a client who has Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS) who had trouble walking, even with a walker. In two months, the client was exercising four to five days a week: lifting weights, roller skating and even running again!
Health issues run rampant in Alec’s family, which is his main motivation to stay active. He has encouraged friends and family to join him on this journey. Alec is located in the Los Angeles area and is dedicated to helping clients make their movement matter!
