Lynnae
South Santa Barbara County: Goleta, Santa Barbara, Montecito

Lynnae has loved movement and fitness since she was a child. So much so, she would watch through the fuzzy snow on her parents’ TV to participate in Mickey Mouse’s morning exercise class for kids. That love of movement never left and she started working in health clubs as a teenager. In undergrad, she double minored in Exercise Science and Fitness Training with a dual emphasis in Personal Training and Group Fitness. Her plan was to Personal Train and teach Group Fitness as a side job for fun. She quickly picked up many classes and clients teaching 10 classes per week and personal training at the university. After working full time in Human Resources and doing her fitness job on the side for a few years, she decided to pursue the subject she was passionate about full-time. She left her Human Resources job for graduate school where she studied Kinesiology with the goal of teaching Physical Education.
While in graduate school, she quickly learned that she loved teaching adults and has been doing so ever since. She has now been in the fitness industry for over twenty years teaching and training in a variety of settings including universities, corporate fitness centers, hotels, community colleges and retirement communities. In addition to a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology, and undergraduate minor degrees in Exercise Science and Fitness Training, Lynnae holds certifications in ACE Group Fitness, Zumba and Zumba Gold.
She has also trained and earned certifications in Pilates, Arthritis Foundation’s Aqua Exercise, and Kickboxing.
Lynnae particularly loves working with seniors. She ran the Health and Fitness Department at a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community in Santa Barbara for seven years. There she worked with a variety of clients including those with Parkinson’s, neuropathy, spinal stenosis, frozen shoulders, vision impairment, arthritis, joint replacements or were post re-hab.
For her own exercise, she enjoys dancing, hiking, walking and spinning. Lynnae lives in Santa Barbara with her husband, two daughters and dog.
