photo(1) copy 2Now that I will be 60-years-old in a few weeks, I can’t believe it, nor can my mother. If you follow old friends from high school on Facebook, as I do, every month another friend turns 60. Wow!
Somehow with each decade, I feel differently about my age. Of course, like most of us who are 50-plus, I sometimes wake up in the morning achy, but most days not. At night, I’m so full of anticipation for the next day that I can hardly sleep. I’ve tried meditation, but for now, I can’t seem to embrace its full benefits, so my yoga classes will have to suffice.

Reinventing myself has been my key to feeling youthful. I have poured my heart into learning about fitness and nutrition for almost 10 years. My wish for my present and future clients is that they learn to move in ways that represent their younger self. They can learn to move well as they move often. If they continue to do the same exercise incorrectly for years it will (if it hasn’t already) lead to chronic pain. It’s best to learn now and correct the imbalances before it is too late.

I decided this year to just enjoy the moment of turning another year older and I am grateful. I keep going because I believe the outcome will always be positive. So, picture yourself resilient too. If you don’t want that extra jolt of energy, don’t call Lori Michiel Fitness (LMF). But if you have been thinking that now is the time and you want to jump-start your resiliency, do so before the New Year… I am here.

LMF has been working with individuals who are 50-plus, or feel 50-plus, since 2006. You can reach us at www.lorimichielfitness.com, email us or call us at 818-620-1442 today. We see fitness differently!
