Susan has always been interested in fitness. She ran her first of countless 10ks in 1979, completed four marathons and continues to run today.
After her fourth child began school full time more than a decade ago, Susan began taking courses that led to her certification as a personal trainer. She works with clients individually and in small groups. In addition, Susan is a spin instructor and has taught in multiple locations throughout Los Angeles.
Susan’s certifications include:
• NSCA Certified Personal Trainer
• ACE Group Fitness Instructor
• Functional Aging Specialist, Functional Aging Institute
• ACE Senior Fitness Specialty Certification
• TRX Suspension Training for all ages
Over the years, Susan has suffered numerous injuries. Those experiences have brought a new sense of body awareness to her training sessions. She better understands the special challenges that face many of her clients due to age or physical restrictions.
In her sessions, Susan’s goal is to challenge each individual to reach beyond his/her perceived limitations. In each workout, she attempts to educate her clients about the function of specific exercises and to motivate and equip them to exercise comfortably both while training with her and on their own.
